Visual impairment is a highly prevalent yet frequently under recognised consequence of stroke, with significant implications for patient safety, independence and rehabilitation outcomes. Up to 60% of stroke survivors experience some form of visual impairment in the acute phase, often without symptoms being reported or detected.

 

This CPD course focuses on understanding, recognising, assessing and managing visual impairment following stroke, with a strong emphasis on practical, multidisciplinary care. Designed for healthcare professionals working across acute, rehabilitation and community stroke services, the course highlights the crucial role vision plays in effective stroke rehabilitation and recovery.

 

Through accessible, clinically relevant eLearning content, participants will develop confidence in identifying common stroke related visual problems, understanding their impact on function, and implementing practical strategies to support patients safely and effectively.
